Invisible Children uses the power of media to inform and inspire young people to help end war and bring peace in east Africa. Their documentaries about war-affected children in Uganda have inspired hundreds of thousands of people to make a stand for justice in the wake of genocide. In addition to media, Invisible Children has implemented cutting edge programs in Uganda to rebuild schools, improve water and sanitation, provide books and equipment, teachers and technology.
They also provide micro-economic initiatives that enable villagers displaced by war to return to their homes and become financially self-sufficient. For more information about this organization, visit www.invisiblechildren.com
